Silver Fox Plush Toy by Jarahamee Silver Fox Plush Toy by Jarahamee
A plush silver fox toy. It is perhaps 10 inches long excluding that huge tail. I included a wire frame that allows it to be posed. It is the melanistic phase of a red fox. Has whiskers.

HELP ME HELP REAL ANIMALS: This piece is on sale for 160 + 10 dollars shipping. I'll donate 80 dollars of that to Save The Pangolins!. Still trying to make up that 100 dollars of cloth.

200 + 10/15 dollars shipping depending on if you live in the us or not.

I'd probably make the ears bigger now-days too, it would be exact.

Ah, yes, that would be fine. My paypal is thueston@live.com

I now require people to prepay before I start in case they decide they don't have the funds when I'm done.

Beautiful plush! Ive been stalking your gallery LOL Although I did notice this has round pupils..did you do that on purpose? :?

Well, their pupils look round when fully open in darkness, and they don't make slit pupiled eyes that small. Any size larger and they'd look disturbing XD.

really? XD Do you use regular craft eyes?
Because I could suggest maybe using taxidermy glass eyes? I always thought that would be cool for a plush one day, realistic looking XD I dont know if they come THAT small though. Smallest I know of is maybe 8 or 10 mms. Not sure what youd need. xD

The smallest I found were 10 mm, which are too big for my purposes, and those are custom.

They cost about 10 dollars for a single pair, or more, it's not worth it, I'd have to increase the prices, and I have to make a polymer backing for them.

I'd rather just use plush toy eyes. XD. It keeps my prices lower.

do different fox color variations cost more/less?

Since this is a premade plush, it is priced more cheaply than a commission. My policy with colors is that the more parts I have to cut out and see together, the higher the price. An all-white or all-black fox would be a lot cheaper than something complicated, like a cross-phase fox.

You would have to show me a picture so I can give you a better estate. If its the kind with solid white bodies I'd say 125 +10 dollars shipping. If its the kind covered in grey splotches I'd probably price it higher than this silver fox.

This is STUNNING! The pose and realism! Is the fur on the head and chest the same as the body but with the guard hairs shaved down or have you used another fur? Either way so impressive and professional.

Thanks. I can repose it however I like. The fur on the head and chest is totally different fabric, otherwise, shaved down it just looks black. The legs are also different fabric and so is the face and ears.

I still prefer my recent black wolves XD.

Your plushes are amazing, and so far as I v read you make your patterns yourself? Do you know a website or a book or whatever to help people with patterns? I recently tried to do my first plush with my first patterns... and the outcome is... it looks different... I still love it but I d also like to try to make it a bit more ...elaborated. I named her lovingly 'Ugly' XD. Here are two links...

The plush seems like she has the right shape and form. Having actual fur fabric helps with the look of the animal, especially if it is denser, high quality fur and you have sharp scissors. I think trimming is a lot of the battle in stuffed animals.

[link] is a good simple pattern that follows a similar process to mine. [link] was made using this pattern.

:excited: *GAAAAASP* Silvers are my FAVORITE variation of fox!!!! It was the first fox plush I ever attempted and it failed so hard I feared ever trying again. xD I am now inspired to stop being a wimp and give it another go. I love how you're able to capture a real feeling of life in this one. It's like a captured moment wherein the fox has just spotted you and is about to vanish into the bush. The minute I have 210 to spare, I'm asking if this guy's still available. *u*
