Artist's Comments

This is my largest plush I've made, and the most challenging. He's a "male type" prototype.

I tried to make a melanistic (black) wolfman. I would like to say this is not my attempt at making a werewolf, as I'd like to think that not everything that is a human and a wolf together makes it a were.

I'd also like to mention he stands at a MIGHTY 16 inches tall.

I like it. I mean with the length of the arms in comparison to the legs makes it look almost apish but that just adds to that natural primal feel. It's great.

That bottom right image is fantastic. He looks so at ease and yet imposing. I really get a vibe of dignity and menace from him...he looks so comfortable in his skin. I can definitely see why you would charge $100 (at least). It looks like a lot of work...but well worth it.

I'd pay 100 dollars for that guy...

He's very impressive; the hunched pose is effective in showing that he's relatively beast-like. The feet are a really neat touch.

What did you end up colouring the fur with? (on the belly)

Beautiful job on the bent hand, and on the tops of the hands in general. I think the pawpads work decently; it's a style that I think you could work on and get somewhere good. Much easier than individual-piece pawpads.

Are you in highschool? I wish I had this much time for plush-making, but university kills me for time!

Very nice work. Looking forward to seeing more.

Cheers,

Thank you. He's actually also hunchbacked, but it was hard getting a picture of his back in this picture.

That was actually a piece of faux fashion fur (shorthaired coyote), which was good enough quality to come with really nice tipping. I actually hardly colored any of him.

Lol, I'm a senior in college, and I don't really have that much time. I spend my time in class sewing frantically, and all of my socialization and coffee time trying to get parts done. I think I worked even more frantically than usual because I have to get a birthday present(partially done) finished by this weekend. Thank you.

He might be a relatively large piece, but it would be extremely hard to get pawpieces on individual fingers. Not even really highend plush makers do that, and I was using faux suede(Very hard to sew).

Thank you.

Having something in common with Mahatma Gandhi, Charles Darwin, Albert Einstein, and Sir Isaac Newton, isn't so bad...right?

Wow, thank you so much.

Oh, thank you. I thought the face was a bit "Cute" when I intended it to look placid, but not unrealistic. Thank you.

The legs are actually quite long, but they weren't stuffed as much as some of my other plush animals, so they compressed. I tried to get a feel for that in the picture of him sitting.

I figured, since the rest of the body was a compromise between human and animal...why not the proportions too?

Thanks for the comment.

That definitely does look like it was a challenge, but wow! It looks great! How big is he? I think I like his feet the best, they're really cute, haha.
